He and his wife, Lynn (a Biology professor at Gordon State College here in Barnesville) bought their home with the help of Dora Cox who became a valued friend in the process.
Asked about getting into realty, Dave says, “We were blessed with the perfect home for our needs, and now I want to help others find their blessing, too.”

I have been an agent for 16 years. I opened Dora Cox Realty during my second year in real estate.
I have always valued education. I started college at the University of Georgia and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado. I also did a year of post graduate work at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
As a real estate agent I have continuously looked for opportunities to expand my real estate knowledge both with National Association of Realtors and National Association of Home Builders. From NAR I have received certification at Graduate Realty Institute (GRI) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). From NAHB I have become certified as Certified Sales Specialist (CSP), Master Sales Specialist (MSP), Ageing in Place Specialist (APS) and Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM). I am most proud of the MIRM as there are only 3000 nationally and it took 2 years of hard work to earn this very special designation!!
Before becoming a realtor, I feel my life experiences had made me an expert in residential real estate. My husband was in the Air Force for 21 years. We lived in 14 houses in 11 states and 2 continents!! We lived on 10 acres and in a condo on no land. We lived in subtropical Louisiana and desert New Mexico. We lived in rural South Dakota and “rural” England. We have lived in a mobile home, a condo, a semi-detached home and several detached homes. We have moved up and down in sq. ft. From 800 sq. ft. to 2900 sq. ft. and all points in between. Living in all these homes and places gives me special insight into how homes and places affect your lifestyle and interactions with neighbors. It was wonderful training for a career in real estate and helps me every day work with customers to help them meet their real estate needs.Telephone: (770) 358-3211 office (770) 584-4433 cell
